While you can certainly get lice/nit controlling shampoo for a lot cheaper they also tend to have a smell to them that would put off most kids from wanting it used on them or adults with a sensitive smell whereas this one does the job while still smelling like ordinary shampoo and aiming to keep the roots healthy at the same time. It is also made completely from natural ingredients which means that while being pleasant to use I won't have to worry about any negative side effects from it. This is likely not a shampoo that you would use often anyway in all honesty unless you were to work somewhere that would have them more often like school. That aside seems relatively recommendable if you prefer natural made products and have the budget.

I use this as a preventive measure since my kids started school. The tea tree and neem gives it that medicinal smell but it's not overpowering like some lice treatments. The shampoo lathers well and rinses out easily without leaving any residue or making hair feel stripped dry or greasy. I have sensitive skin on my face, and even when its exposed to this shampoo, it doesn't feel irritated. The coconut oil in the formula helps detangle hair which makes checking with the nit comb much easier. You need to leave it on for a few minutes to work properly but it's worth the extra time. The ingredients are good, it opts for natural control methods over synthetic.

I ordered this for my daughter as she always uses a well-known branded shampoo for children as a headlice prevention and is very happy with it but I thought it was a good idea to give another brand a go, especially as it is made with natural ingredients. Not surprisingly it has a strong tea tree smell which is quite pleasant. She said it lathered nicely and is just as happy with it as her usual shampoo. She has very long hair and it makes it look shiny and smooth. The only thing I'm a little unsure of is that it says in the description that it eliminates head lice, so I'm not sure if it's aimed at people who already have head lice or as more of a preventative measure. I can't comment on it effectiveness at eliminating head lice but I can confirm that my daughter has not had any since using it so it seems to be working as a preventative shampoo.

This is a great natural alternative to use instead of regular insecticides. A small amount is quite potent! As it does not have bad side effects, it makes sense to try this first and only if it does not kill all the bugs, then move to the industrial stuff.

Working in a school its rife with out breaks and although I find combing out nits (when I rarely get them) I think this shampoo works really well as a strong deterrent to repelling them. The shampoo is not obnoxious with smell either like many of the nit products, it actually smells nice, but you can tell that it has quality ingredients in it due to this as they're clearly listed on the bottle. I like the aesthetic of the brand and the packaging too. I do think for repeat customers the price is a little high as a parent isn't going to spend this on their child, they'll get the pharmacy bought kiddy one, so if this is aimed at adults only it works but I think they'd sell a lot more if slightly cheaper. I do however also think the effect of a shampoo it has is also really good as its not dis similar to a regular shampoo. Overall, 4 stars.

If used consistently as a preventative measure of course. The £20 price tag is twice that of a lice treatment solution. So not sure about that. The scent is okay. Just would have preferred NO tea tree oil in there. Don’t like that scent. Also, apart from on Amazon, this puradoro brand seem to exist nowhere else. The puradoro site doesn’t even load (for me). Which seems to be just 4 months old? (checked with built with). No similar web traffic info. It’s possible this is Rekze’s new expansion to the UK (recently?) Since it’s a US brand, with products made in Italy. The same pricing across all products did not help the confusion either. Didn’t really check the tea tree stuff when ordering this. So that was my fault. Upping the rating from 3/5.
