We used this when we found lice in the kids' hair whilst we were on holiday in the US in 2015. Believe me, with 4 children, I have tried every product on the market, most of which, including Vamousse, really do not deliver what they promise. However, I found Lice Freee to actually be pretty effective. It's not oily or overly smelly and and you leave it in to dry. Quick, easy and less hassle. However, there is no substitute for a thorough combing with a quality nit comb along with this, and any other product. I found that using Lice Freee, followed by a week or two with regular treatment with conditioner and a nit comb (say every 2 -3 days) totally cleared them all and we were a nit free happy family..... until the inevitable re-infestation a few months later :-( . I now buy Lice Freee and keep it in the cupboard. It's quite expensive in the UK, compared to the US, but it's my product of choice now.

Good product - seems to work better than most. Gentle for sensitive scalps.

The product doesn't work at all. Thinking it was odd how many positive reviews were listed, I checked them and found that many of them are so similar in style that they are obviously written by the same person. Many of the very positive ones are long, they use capital letters to enhance certain words and refer to the lice as "the nasty crawlers" and the like, they are very well written almost without spelling and comma mistakes (which is highly unusual in reviews!) and they follow the same recipe (including "I have tried all other products, like RID, and none worked"), etc. This did not arouse my suspicion until I found out that the product is useless. Then I checked and found out that it contains simply a salt water solution, so of course it is useless! Please don't buy this product....

Comes with a nit comb and spay on lotion. We were paranoid we would catch them from our grand daughter after an infection at the school so we used this and spent times combing each other. Nothing found so the itching was all in the imagination.

My 6 yo got head lice at school. This was our first experience with lice, so I didn't realize it until it was pretty bad and the rest of the family had lice too. We used shampoo from the pharmacy and combed everyone. We found lots of lice on my 6 yo that were still moving slowly after the shampooing but the package said it could take up to 12 hours to kill them. A friend had recommended this spray and I immediately ordered it. The next day (36 hours out) I went through 6 yo hair with the comb again and still found living adult lice. You can't shampoo again for 7 days but you can use this Licefreee Spray daily. I treated her head with the spray systematically soaking all of her hair and scalp. I then pulled it back into a ponytail and let it dry. Pretty much immediately a dead louse fell right off of her head. It does leave a bit of a sticky residue so I washed her hair the next day and then did another pass through with the comb. I didn't find anything that was still alive (not even newly hatched nymphs). I was so relieved. I immediately bought two more bottles so we can treat the rest of the family for our second treatment instead of shampoo. 6 yo much preferred the Licefreee spray to the pharmacy shampoo. It was way easier to apply and it was gentler on her scalp. We did use a lot probably half the bottle for one treatment. 6 yo has thick hair but not super long (just touching the top of her shoulders). If we were to get lice again, I would skip the pharmacy shampoo and go straight for Licefreee spray.

After using the spray and doing the treatment, we still found live nits in hair so this product doesn’t work properly. It was waste of money for us.

And have been pleasantly surprised! I will say that I did do an initial shampoo treatment on my daughters and myself once I discovered my oldest had lice. I have been using this product to help during the days in between the shampoo treatments. It is wonderful to use when doing the comb through. My two daughters have shoulder length hair and mine is past the bottom of my shoulders. We used a bit more than half of the bottle between the three of us for the first round. It dries oily but I’d take that over giving a sustainable habitat to those lil buggers any day. I am also using it as a scalp relief considering the itching can continue for a week past killing the adult lice. I will be buying another bottle to have on standby!
